Facilities

We offer the following infrastructural facilities to our students:

LECTURE ROOMS
Our lecture rooms are some of the best amongst colleges in the city, airy and bright with facilities for overhead and LCD displays.

CONFERENCE ROOM
The conference room has Audio – Visual facilities. Educational movies are often screened in this room. Besides, guest speakers when invited are given this room as it is convenient to have Power Point Presentations.

LABORATORIES
The college has laboratories for Physics, Biology and Chemistry for our Junior College students.
We also have fully air conditioned Computer Laboratory for students who require the facility for their course content.

GYMKHANA
The gymkhana provides facilities for indoor sports like chess, carom and table tennis. We also offer facilities for outdoor sports including basketball, volleyball and throw ball in the college quadrangle, and athletics, hockey and football on St. Andrew’s School grounds.

AUDITORIUM
St. Andrew’s Auditorium is the best equipped college auditorium in the city. This hi-tech (air-conditioned) auditorium with seating capacity of 811, provides our students with the best sound, lighting and technical facilities – a boon, indeed, for both in-house and intercollegiate competitions.

TRAINING & PLACEMENT CELL
The Training & Placement Cell was initiated by the college in October 2005 to cater to students’ requirements vis–á-vis permanent placements in reputed companies. Among the companies that have recruited our students are L & T, InfoTech, Infosys, Accenture and Deutsche Bank. Students also get opportunities to be recruited for Summer Internships and other short-term assignments with event based companies which enhance their professional growth prospects.

CANTEEN
The revamped college canteen “Café Andre” provides tea, coffee, soft drinks and various snacks. Quality and prices are subject to constant scrutiny. The canteen remains open during the time specified by the Principal.

LIBRARY

‘Reading serves for delight, for ornament, for ability. The crafty condemn it, the simple admire it; the wise use it.’

The library is the nerve centre of all the academic activities in the college. It provides a place in which to study, material for study and services to assist study. Its facilities exist solely to cater to the needs of the academic community of the college.
St. Andrew’s Library offers membership to Professors and students who have enrolled in the current academic year. (F.Y.J.C. / S.Y.J.C. / B.A. / B.Com. / B.M.S. / B.Com.( A&F.) / B.Sc.I.T, B.Sc. (Hospitality Studies). Ex-students / others can avail the reference facility by permission from the Principal / Librarian.

SERVICES
Amongst the various Services provided by the library are Circulation Services, Photocopy / Xerox facilities, Internet facility (available free of cost to library members), and Book-Bank facility (for economically deprived students). Special mention must be made of the Inter Library Resource Sharing facility that provides members with introductory letters so that they can gain access to other academic libraries in Mumbai e.g. Jawaharlal Nehru Library at University of Mumbai, Kalina Campus. Moreover, since our library has taken membership at the British Council and the American Information Center, it provides resources from these libraries on demand.

CHAPEL
St. Andrew’s College has a chapel where we celebrate the First Friday and other masses to mark various important events in college. The doors of the chapel are open to our students at all times and its quiet interior and beautiful stained glass windows are guaranteed to lift the spirits of all those who choose to enter its sacred precincts and spend a few silent moments in communication with God.

COMMON ROOMS
We have separate common rooms for boys and girls where they can relax, catch up with notes and friends.
